It's a Boy!

I just thought you all might like to know that I am expecting another boy. Jonathan Matthew Washburn is due to arrive on February 23rd. He is currently weighing in at 10 ounces and he looks fine and healthy!

We are so excited to welcome another baby boy and a sweet little brother for Peter!

Congratulations, Clayton and Kim!

On Saturday, August 14th, my brother, Clayton and his lovely fiance (now wife) got married in the Salt Lake Temple.

I'm so excited for Clayton and I'm so happy to have Kim as a new sister!

Here are some pictures from the day!

Above: Fresh out of the temple and newly married!

Above: Clayton and Kim getting fresh right outside of the temple!

Above: My niece, Maddie, at the wedding reception. How can someone so pretty, sweet, and adorable be sticking her nose into such a bad place? :)

Above: Isn't Maddie pretty?

Above: My two sweet sisters!

Above: Kim's lovely and scrumptious tasting wedding cake.

Above: My cute brothers!

Above: Feeding each other cake (and I am glad they were nice about it! I'm not a fan of squishing cake into people's faces, up their nose, and all over their wedding clothes! Oh, and I've seen those things done!)

Above: Giving each other a kiss and then driving away!

I have absolutely no pictures of me, Peter, or Jeremiah (Peter was sick with a cold and was NOT a happy camper). I'm glad that others got a few pictures of us!

It was a lovely day. That particular week in August felt just like fall. It was so pleasant and cool. We were worried that it would be hot and unbearable, but it was honestly perfect. I'm so glad. Clayton and Kim deserved to have a perfect day! Congratulations again!

Special Announcement!

Well, I'm sure that blog title and the picture left nothing to the imagination.

Yes, I am expecting my second baby! I'm just out of my first trimester and I'm 15 weeks along. I am due on February 23rd.

I am a little late in posting this blog because August was so crazy. But we announced this happy news to my family on August 8th. But, better late than never in posting this blog, right!? (I've got so much catching up to do blog-wise! Expect more posts in the near future).

We will find out at the end of this month whether we are having a boy or a girl.

My sister, Laurie, is pregnant too and is due on February 17th! So, we broke the news to our family together. Laurie made some cute onesies with a number 4 and a number 5 on them (signifying the number and order of grandkids. My mom already has three grandkids, Laurie's new baby will be number four and mine will be number five).

While we were having Sunday dinner together, I held up the onesie with a number 4 on it and said "I have an announcement to make...oh wait, I have the wrong onesie. Laurie, this must be yours!" I then traded onesies with Laurie (she got the number 4 because she is due before I am). I didn't really have to say anything more because then everyone realized that both Laurie and I are pregnant...and a few people teared up and others got big smiles on their faces.

We took a video of it, but it's hard to see what is happening because of where Jeremiah was positioned. The video ends rather abruptly because Peter then decided to knock over his pudding and Jeremiah had to tend to it.

I hope you enjoy the video. You can't really see me hold up the onesie because of the angle that the video was taken at, but you can hear and see everyone's reactions. I think my mom's reaction is priceless!

But my absolute favorite part of the day? When Peter fell asleep on my lap after church. What a cutie! I tell you, there's nothing better than having that sweet little bundle of guy cuddle up to you and fall asleep.
