Above: By May, it was getting consistently warm enough for all of us to enjoy some time outside. Plus, we got a new trampoline mat and pad so that no one killed themselves while they were outside! We also got window well covers so that everyone could be doubly safe and I could rest at ease.
Above: Just like his big brother, Jonathan loves to use his hair as a napkin.
Above: Peter loves when candy turns his tongue and mouth different colors!
Above: I just thought this was a cute picture. And yes, I do realize that my boys spend a good deal of time just in their diapers. Here's my defense for that: I already do waaaaaay too much laundry as it is. Those boys get their clothes dirty instantly! And sometimes, it's just easier to give them a bath than do another load of laundry!
Above: More blue-mouthed antics.
Above: We had a great blue-mouthed photo shoot, so just enjoy the pictures.
Above: Last one...blue-mouthed kissy face.
Above: Pasta is fun to eat!
Above: Good dinner, Mom.
Above: Enjoying the great outdoors (apparently this picture was taken before the window well covers were put in).
Above: And THIS is why I keep them in their diapers so much of the time. Bibs don't really do the job either. Also, this is why it is so hard to keep white onesies actually white. I was feeding Jonathan mess-free food when he rested his eyes on some extra chocolate-covered strawberries (we made some for our mothers for Mother's Day).
Above: A surefire way to get an open-mouthed smile for the camera!
Above: Peter loves to play dress-up and he will ask me to get out their Halloween costumes from time-to-time so that they can play dinosaur.
Above: Peter has the dinosaur pose down perfectly, don't you think?
Above: Just enjoying my bowl of oatmeal...
Above: I can't waste any of it!
Above: We went to the zoo for my birthday. If you have a zoo member pass, you can attend the zoo two evenings a month during the summer months. So, we went to the zoo the Thursday night before my birthday as a birthday celebration. Jonathan hadn't been since last year and I think this was the first time he was really able to appreciate it. You can see his look of absolute amazement as he is looking at the elephants in the picture above. It was the best way to spend my birthday--by creating family memories.
Above: Getting the best viewpoint on top of Daddy's shoulders!
Above: Just posin' with the giraffes. Trying to be taller than they were.
Above: My mom came along that night too. It's always more fun with Nammy!
Above: Jonathan thought the peacock was so cool and had a great time chasing after it.
Above: Here's my birthday "cake." I didn't want to have a whole cake sitting around, so I got two giant cupcakes. The boys had a great time making messes with the frosting and I ate way too much anyway, so it's a good thing I skipped the normal-sized cake.
Above: Jonathan picking out a movie to watch in the background while we play downstairs.
Above: Peter will jump off of anything. Just you watch out!
Above: Takin' it easy while I eat my cookies.
Above: Jonathan is smiling while telling me at the same time "what the bunny says." He will scrunch up his nose and make sniffing sounds.
Above: Helping Daddy "mow" Nammy's lawn.
Above: Daddy demonstrating how to fire a pop gun. Nammy got Peter and Jonathan these super cute pop guns because Peter LOVES the story of Peter and the Wolf and likes to act it out. Nammy thought it would be even more fun with a pop gun to shoot the wolf with. The boys loved them.
Above: Just playing with all of the cool stuff at Nammy's house.
Above: Nammy got this super cute play house from Costco for a steal. All of the grandkids love it! Nammy is so fun!
Above: As Emily put it, she was asking Peter to rule the galaxy as Aunt and Nephew. Peter's response? "Nooooooo! I'll never join you!"
Above: Playing a little hide-and-seek with Peter. Johnny knew right where he was. :)
So, I had a great birthday and it was a very nice month. And next up...June 2012. See ya later!

Johnny has such a cute smile. Good times, good times.
