May, Part 4: Saying Goodbye to Our Suncrest House

Moving day finally arrived. It had to come whether I was fully prepared or not, right? This was one gargantuan task. I hope I don't have to do it again for a long, long time.

Above: I mowed our dandelion ridden lawn while Jeremiah was out of town and right before an inspection. The grass needed to be replaced...but I will miss this big yard with its random lizard, squirrel, and weasel visitors.

Above: We'll miss our trampoline too. Our new house doesn't have one.

Above: Old red shirt and black yoga pants...my daily uniform during this moving time.

Above: Oh, how I wish I had figured out what to do with our landing years ago. Having this couch up there and making it a game/movie area was genius. I wish we had done it long ago. It was so cozy.

Above: I had everyone take pictures in every room of our house so the boys would not only remember what our house looked like but so they could remember what they looked like in it.

Above: Dan's bedroom (formerly Johnny's before Dan came along).

Above: Reading and sharing together on our last day in the house together. Nammy took the boys for a sleepover that night.

Above: The boys watched The Princess Bride while I packed up stuff.

Above: The boys' bedroom all packed up and ready to go.

Above: I'm really, really going to miss this view.

Above: This was the last picture I took. It was taken at about 2:30 a.m. after I had finished mopping and vacuuming all of the floors. Everything was moved over to the new house (after much trial and tribulation...the moving company did a super crappy job and it took them waaaaay longer than it should have), the boys had to sleep at Nammy's an extra night because the beds got there so late that we didn't have time to put them together that night. Dan was asleep in the new house, finally (of course, his crib was the last thing to be unloaded by those dang moving guys). I had a little quiet alone time to say goodbye to 15198 Eagle Chase Drive, Draper, UT 84020. It was very bittersweet. We knew it was time to go, but I was sad to go too. We had some really hard times in this house, but some really good times too. Lots of good memories. Lots of sweet times with my little boys before they became not so little. There will always be a part of me that misses this house.
