Above: All hail to the Skeleton Penguin King! The skeleton sweats are from Halloween (it was a cold day and Peter wanted to go outside and it was the warmest and fastest outfit I could find.). As for the penguin get-up, it is a hoodie towel. He usually uses his blue towel, but it was being washed. Peter had just gotten out of the bath and the towel was on the floor after I put the skeleton sweats on him. Peter promptly put the towel on his head and proceeding to parade around for about 10 minutes. All thoughts of going outside faded (well, for 10 minutes at least) as Pete enjoyed this dashing, black, white, and red dressy combination. March of the Skeleton Penguin indeed!
Above: Posing after removing the penguin "cape."
Above: Our trip to the pool was unsuccessful (hopefully, we will find greater success taking Peter swimming in the future). However, Peter can't resist the swim vest I got for him. I keep putting it away and he keeps pulling it out and insisting to have it put on him again. Once it is on, he will proceed to play in it for at least 30 minutes. Every time he wears it, I think of that line from Back to the Future: "What did you do? Jump ship?"
Above: Pete decided to borrow my sunglasses. Doesn't he look cool?
Above: Another example of hoodie-towel-chic. This is Peter's regular towel. He decided to pair it with his pajamas.
Above: I've shared pictures of Pete wearing Jeremiah's snowboarding beanie before, but I particularly like this stylish picture because it looks like Peter is trying to avoid the paparazzi.
Above: I had just changed Peter out of his pajamas and I hadn't yet decided on what he should wear for the day. Pete simplified things by picking out a simple diaper/church shoes ensemble that showed off his adorable baby physique.
Above: This is an ensemble that I picked out for Pete. Peter must feel like I am stifling his fashion because while this outfit is cute, it doesn't have quite the same "personality" as the ensembles he chooses for himself. Oh well, he still seems to be happy!
Pete is one silly guy! I like the paparazzi photo! And I still think that penguin towell is kinda weird
ReplyDeleteI think it's hilarious that he likes to play in that vest. He's a personality plus kind of guy!
ReplyDeleteHaha! This is one of my favorite blog posts ever. Fashionable Pete.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I think you're right-- you really are crimping his style. I can tell in that last picture that he just feels... trapped... in this world of conventional fashion that you are imposing upon his creative spirit. I think he needs therapy now. Way to go, Sarah.
