June, Part 5: A Visit from the Smith Family

My awesome buddy from way back in my BYU days, Krissy Smith, came to Utah at the end of June for a family reunion and we were able to steal her away from the family reunion festivities just long enough to get together with her and go out to lunch with our families and then go to the new Museum of Natural Curiosity together. It was so good to see Krissy. It had been far too long. In fact, we hadn't been able to get together in person since Peter was about five months old.

Above: The kids had a lot of fun together and Peter and Drew, in particular, became fast friends. They are only about a month and a half apart in age, and as mentioned previously, hadn't seen each other since they were babies.

Above: It was kind of wild keeping track of the kids at the museum, so I didn't get any pictures of Krissy, but she looks just as beautiful as she always does. She hasn't aged a day since BYU, I swear. I'm glad I didn't get any pictures of me that day though, because as I have mentioned before, I am not a fan of how I look when I am pregnant.

Above: Krissy's daughters, Allie and Sami, created this sign. I got a kick out of it. "The Show Is Fun." Great title.

Above: Here are Jeremiah and Kevin admiring Allie and Sami's handiwork.

The visit was over far too soon, but it was so, so nice to see Krissy again. It really had been too long. I'm grateful that their family reunions bring them out to Utah every now and then because we can't really afford to take the family out to Florida quite yet. I hope we can soon though. It would be fun to visit them in their "native habitat." :)
