July 2013, Part 1

Above: Johnny has developed an interest in helping me cook, complete with apron, of course.

Above: I know it seems kind of pointless to put an apron on when you have no clothes to ruin, but doesn't he look cute?

Above: We were making some banana bread for Daddy to eat for breakfast (he needs to have food he can grab on his way out the door).

Above: Enjoying the swings with cousin Ty on the 4th of July.

Above: Handsome guys. All three of them!

Above: The next day, we stopped by Aunt Angie's house to play for a bit. Aunt Angie was so generous and gave Cameron's old bike to Peter.

Above: Daddy got the boys some cool new shorts and shirts. This shirt wasn't intended to be worn with those shorts, but when you buy them at the same time, that's what our guy is going to want to wear! I think it actually looks kind of cool paired together. Peter was so excited that he actually asked to have his picture taken.

Above: Here is Johnny's new outfit. Johnny didn't want his picture taken, so he was running away from me and my camera.

Above: Another baking day. Here is Johnny carefully measuring out his red grapes.

Above: He is a sweet guy!

Above: Oops. Dropped a grape down my apron.

Above: Finders keepers!

Above: Lost another one!

Above: Wearing my new outfit to Nammy's house and trying out my new bike.

Above: Riding in style.

Above: So cute!

Above: Peter pretending to be a farmer.

Above: This is how a farmer poses. Didn't you know?

Above: Shakespearean Farmer.

Above: On a particularly rainy Saturday, we went out to grab some dinner and on our way home, we saw one of the most gorgeous rainbows I have ever seen. The pictures don't do it justice, and I would have tried to get some more pictures, but my camera ran out of batteries. It was a double complete rainbow. :) Again, the camera didn't capture this, but the purple and blue in that rainbow was the brightest and most vibrant that I have every seen. Absolutely beautiful.

Above: Jeremiah showing off his beard and showcasing the rainbow.

Above: The boys were actually more interested in this rainbow than what it appears from this picture. :)

Above: We met Nammy for a play date at the Thanksgiving Point children's gardens while Daddy was at scout camp. On the way there, we got a flat tire. Yay! Thank goodness we were meeting Nammy there. With Jeremiah gone to scout camp (and only somewhat reachable by cell phone), I didn't know what to do. My mom drove up, saw the damage, basically told me that it was no fun to get a flat tire, but that I had roadside assistance with my State Farm car insurance policy. Say what!? I didn't know that! She was right, of course. So, I called to have my tire changed (it is so tricky on my van. There is no way I could have done that myself...at least not without being there for two days and crying a ton). We went in and the boys played in the Noah's Ark fountain. When the guy came to change my tire, I went out and my mom stayed and watched the boys. I mean, getting a flat tire is never ideal, but in this case, it happened in the best way possible!

Above: Peter posing...which is rare!

Above: Johnny took a few minutes to warm up to the idea of getting in the water, but once he felt comfortable, he had a great time and played and played.

Above: What a cute poser!

Above: My happy guy.

Above: Slowly making my way into the water.

Above: This guy jumped right in. No need to wait! My guys are soooo different from one another!

Above: Waiting for this fountain to splash me in the face (on purpose).

Above: The next day, we went to get two new tires. The two front tires (the one that got flat was the front passenger side) were too worn down, so they had to be replaced. I was dreading taking the boys...but they were really very good. Especially since we had to wait about two hours for the tires to be fixed and changed!

Above: Peter was such a good boy. He is getting so big. I sure love him.

It was pretty urgent that we get the tires fixed because I had planned a play date with my friend, Kalee, and her kids. They live in Heber. So, obviously, I couldn't make it on a spare tire! The boys had so much fun playing with Kalee's kids. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures. Heber is such a pretty city. If you haven't ever been there, you should visit it!

Next up, the rest of July!
