Even though it has been really hard helping Dan sleep in our new house, he has been as sweet as can be during the day. He's just happy, cheerful, and smiley. He is such a good-natured and sweet little guy. I just love him so much and he brings me so much joy. He was definitely worth the wait and I don't know what I would have done without him. He has also been tremendously patient. He must feel so cooped up spending so much time in the exersaucer so that he is contained while I have packed, organized, and unpacked over the past few months.
Above: Dad was watching Dan one morning while I was unpacking things, organizing, and putting things away and I rounded the corner to find this sweet guy just hanging out.
Above: Since he's spent so much time in the exersaucer, he doesn't know how to crawl yet. So, this corner had him contained. What a good sport!
Above: It's hard to choose which picture I like best...so similar, and yet those subtle nuances can't be ignored. I just had to include them all! I love this guy!
Above: This guy likes to stress me out. He has been fighting me soooo much on nap time and sleeping in general. I lay him on his back every single time, but this kid is a stomach sleeper and every time I check on him, he has flipped over onto his belly. So, I know that the current guidelines are to only let your baby sleep on his/her back, but this can't be helped right now. I am not going to wake this guy up to flip him over when he is sleeping so poorly these days!
Above: Even though he is being such a sassy little sleeper, he is so sweet. Look at that sweet, soft, chubby skin. Don't you just want to snuggle him?
Above: We had to put up some darkened blinds in Dan's bedroom so he could take naps...but even still, he took most of his naps on my bed because I couldn't get him to sleep in his own. Is there anything more beautiful than a sleeping baby? He just looks so soft and flawless.
Above: This guy gets so messy when he eats that it is usually just easier to pop him in the sink and rinse him off!
Above: Everybody should have a sweet baby in their sink!
Above: Oh my gosh, I just love him!
Above: It's hard to tell in this picture, but this guy self-soothes by sucking on his own tongue. He has never taken a pacifier (they made him gag), and he only briefly sucked his thumb. This has been his self-soothing method of choice from pretty much the beginning.
Above: I'm too little to have a water fight with my brothers, but I can still look as sweet as can be while I watch them!
Above: Ooooh! He's so squishy! Look at those arm and wrist folds!
Above: Dan loves remote controls.
Above: A close-up, in case you missed how sweet this guy is.
Above: Having some fun baby alone time at the children's museum in Denver.
Above: Sitting one mile above sea level at Colorado's state capitol.
Above: Enjoying my walker given to me by my mom's Aunt Teri.
Above: This walker has opened up a whole new world for me. I didn't like using it inside, but I love using it outside. It's so nice not to be stuck in my stroller or only be held. This way, I can get into the mix with my cousins at family dinners!
Above: Seriously, he's the cutest, sweetest, happiest baby ever. I love this guy.
Above: Look at that gummy, toothless smile!
Above: Every expression is sweet.
Above: Dan is going through a phase where he really, really loves to stick out his tongue. He likes to see just how far he can stick it out.
Above: I love this guy's eyebrows.
Above: Oh my goodness, will you just look at those chubby cheeks?
I love this guy so much. He has been such a good baby while I have been busy doing so much work the past few months. He's been so good-natured and patient. I can't imagine him getting any cuter, and yet, he does. I can't believe it is only two months until his first birthday! Where did the time go?
