April, Part 2: Soccer and Conference Weekend

We signed Peter up for soccer (which started in April). At first, Peter was kind of shy about it and a little worried, but he took to it like a duck to water!

Above: Warm ups during Peter's very first soccer practice.

Above: Of course, Peter's buddy, Jonas, is on the team.

Above: These guys are good buddies!

Above: After Peter's soccer practice, we rushed down the mountain to 7-11 and bought some donuts and drinks for breakfast and then got back just in time for conference to start.

Above: As per our tradition, we played with Legos.

Above: Peter is getting to be such a good builder.

Above: Johnny was pretty excited.

Above: I sure love my sweet Pete!

Above: Kids have to improvise during conference. Peter decided to put on Dad's ski/snowboarding stuff.

Above: Cool like his Daddy!

Above: Johnny thought it was pretty cool.

Above: I love that sweet Johnny of mine!

Above: Even with goggles, his eyebrows are expressive.

Above: Here is Johnny pulling a ninja move. He kind of looks like he is surfing too though.

Above: Just Hangin'.

Above: I love that all you can see are Pete's hands in this picture, and the fact that Johnny is very amused by it.

Above: There's my sweet Pete!

Above: Johnny rocking out in some play glasses.

Above: Clark Kent or Superman? I can never be sure.

Above: I love that the helmet and boots were the last things he took off. :)

Above: Of course, as is our tradition, we put up our tent for the boys to watch conference in.

Above: The tent kind of gets these guys excited, so I try to put it up on Friday night so that they can get their tent wiggles out then. I want conference weekend to be something they look forward to and enjoy.

Above: I think Pete knows I don't like feet. ;)

Above: I love these guys, and I love conference weekend!

April, Part 1: Grandpa's Playhouse

Above: At the beginning of April, we got invited to a birthday party for cousin Staysa as well as the unveiling of Grandpa's new playhouse.

Above: That is one long slide.

Above: There is a trampoline (a kid favorite).

Above: There are a number of slides...oh, and a ball pit.

Above: This is not a house...it is a play house. I promise.

Above: Complete with a mini-sized kitchen with mini appliances.

Above: Mini furniture.

Above: Art, of course. I mean, this is my Dad's play house. This place is better decorated than my own house.

Above: I think I counted three sets of small bunk beds.

Above: Yes, you could say the kids loved it.

March, Part 3: Hanging Out and Field Trips

Above: It is just so fun to wear Daddy's clothes!

Above: Sometimes Daddy even wears their stuff. :)

Above: "Enough pictures already."

Above: On March 28th, Peter got to go on his very first field trip to the Suncrest fire station!

Above: He even got a fun plastic fire helmet to keep.

Above: Johnny came with me too, but he wasn't quite sure what to make of this field trip business.

Above: Johnny thought the fire engine was cool, but he was also feeling very shy.

Above: Pete with his best bud, Jonas.

Above: They are two wild and crazy guys! (Especially together)

Above: Peter thought it was pretty cool to sit in the front seat of the fire engine.

Above: This is the best picture I got of his whole preschool class. Kids are wiggly!

After the field trip, I had to run to the store to pick up a few things, and who did we run into? Why, the firemen who just gave us a tour of their firehouse! Small world, eh?

March, Part 2: St. Patrick's Day

Holy cow, I have a TON of catching up to do. I am SIX months behind on my blog! D'oh! Let the catching up begin.

I don't usually make that big of a deal out of St. Patrick's Day (except to make Corned Beef and Cabbage and wear green). However, after my miscarriage (we found out we had lost the baby at the end of February, and the actual miscarriage happened on March 10th), I felt that it was important to do something happy and to make a big deal out of St. Patrick's Day.

It was kind of a last minute decision. So, while Peter was in preschool, Johnny and I headed out to Zurchers to pick out the best of what was left of the St. Patrick's Day stuff.

We also went to the grocery store and got some green drinks and green candy for the boys. We hit three different grocery stores looking for more St. Patrick's Day decorations after we went to Zurchers. We didn't find much...but what we found made a difference, I think.

Above: Toasting St. Patrick's Day with a green drink while eating a green cupcake.

Above: This sweet guy of mine always looks a little impish and mischievous, don't you think?

Above: I love this sweet guy! He was sassy and insisted on blue food all day long. He didn't want green porridge for breakfast like I had made for Johnny. He wanted blue. I had bought green drinks and blue drinks because I knew that Peter liked the blue drinks...well, he wouldn't touch the green drinks and insisted on having blue. :) At least I succeeded in getting him to wear green!

Above: Johnny was a big fan of the hats.

Above: Eating green candy while wearing green clothes and accessories is the best! I should have taken the barcode stickers off of the hats in hindsight. :)

Above: Ooooh!

Above: Maybe my guy who is part Irish is also part leprechaun!

Above: I love these guys of mine!

Above: Jeremiah took this picture of me because he insists that it is important to prove that I actually existed during this time in my boys' lives (since the photographic evidence is scarce).
