I don't usually make that big of a deal out of St. Patrick's Day (except to make Corned Beef and Cabbage and wear green). However, after my miscarriage (we found out we had lost the baby at the end of February, and the actual miscarriage happened on March 10th), I felt that it was important to do something happy and to make a big deal out of St. Patrick's Day.
It was kind of a last minute decision. So, while Peter was in preschool, Johnny and I headed out to Zurchers to pick out the best of what was left of the St. Patrick's Day stuff.
We also went to the grocery store and got some green drinks and green candy for the boys. We hit three different grocery stores looking for more St. Patrick's Day decorations after we went to Zurchers. We didn't find much...but what we found made a difference, I think.

Above: I love this sweet guy! He was sassy and insisted on blue food all day long. He didn't want green porridge for breakfast like I had made for Johnny. He wanted blue. I had bought green drinks and blue drinks because I knew that Peter liked the blue drinks...well, he wouldn't touch the green drinks and insisted on having blue. :) At least I succeeded in getting him to wear green!
Above: Johnny was a big fan of the hats.
Above: Eating green candy while wearing green clothes and accessories is the best! I should have taken the barcode stickers off of the hats in hindsight. :)
Above: Ooooh!

Above: Jeremiah took this picture of me because he insists that it is important to prove that I actually existed during this time in my boys' lives (since the photographic evidence is scarce).

Nice picture. You look very Irish. What a fun thing to do.
