May, Part 1: Outings and Such

Above: We took a little trip to the dinosaur museum on a day when Peter didn't have preschool.

Above: What is this hippie bus doing in the erosion table? :)

Above: Good brother time.

Above: Shark drama.

Above: Who to fear more? The giant megalodon or the monster kid?

Above: It's more fun to bury ourselves than dig up dinosaur bones.

Above: The first Saturday in May, we decided to give Aunt Angie a break (she hasn't gotten many breaks since her new baby arrived) and take Cameron and Lauren to Thanksgiving Point. We went to the dinosaur museum first.

Above: Cousins just posing in front of the dinosaur museum.

Above: Our next stop was to go to farm country. Johnny finally rode the pony, for the very first time ever! He did a great job!

Above: Pete put up with my picture taking. :)

Above: Cousin Cameron is a pro.

Above: Cousin Lauren (sporting her Burger King crown--we went there for lunch) rode her steed like a true princess.

Above: Then we had to throw this wild bunch in the slammer!

Above: Someone with these crazy eyes can't be innocent.

Above: Escaped prisoner! Go get 'em!

Above: Got him.

Above: Oh no! He is getting away!

Above: This guy loves farm country.

Above: You can't expect Pete to simply wear his sticker on his shirt like everyone else. By the way, if you can't tell, it was REALLY hot that day.

Above: Such sweet rosy cheeks.

Above: Maybe Lauren has a modeling career ahead of her!

Above: I sure love my sweet sassy Johnny!

Above: Back in the slammer! (By the way, I love the stickers over Pete's eyes and all the somber expressions. Maybe they are penitent.)

Above: Nah, this one isn't penitent. Back in the slammer for you!

Above: After our hot visit to Farm Country, we got some ice cream at the deli and then took the kiddies back to Angie and Casey.

Above: Peter got his very first pet (unbeknownst to us) when he was given a goldfish in his primary class (it was a handout about being fishers of men). Yay. I think I would have preferred that he got some Swedish fish or goldfish crackers to illustrate the point. Peter's teacher is very sweet and she meant well though. However, we have always had a no pet policy in our household. We didn't know how to care for a goldfish, so we looked it up online. According to the site we found, for each one inch long goldfish, a 10 gallon recirculated fish tank is required. So, if I had only two, two inch long goldfish, I would technically need a 40 gallon recirculating fish tank in order for the fish to survive! Yeah, that ain't gonna happen! Blondie (as Peter named his fish) only lived two days--despite us cleaning out the water and doing our best to keep him/her alive. RIP Blondie.

Above: Sometimes with all of these outings, this little guy of mine gets pretty tuckered out. However, if he has a puppy or two to snuggle, he is a happy guy.

Next up: our trip to St. George!
