October, Part 4: Gearing up for Halloween and a Visit From Laurie

Above: During the month of October, Peter became particularly interested in Halloween make-up. I finally caved and bought him some make-up...which he got a hold of while I was putting Johnny down for his nap. He did this lovely make-up job all by himself.

Above: This did not come off easily. :)

Above: Here is my cool dude eating some dinner.

Above: Here is my cute guy eating his dinner.

Above: We painted pumpkins for one of our Family Home Evening activities.

Above: "We" also made glitter pumpkins. Mostly I made them because the boys didn't have the patience for it.

Above: We also went to Thanksgiving Point for family pictures (more on that later). Peter was pretty cooperative.

Above: Johnny was not cooperative for family pictures. :)

Above: The pictures I took just didn't do it justice, but one rainy Saturday night, we were treated to one of the most beautiful and vibrant rainbows I have ever seen.

Above: The day the boys' Halloween costumes arrived in the mail, they just had to try them on. Peter decided to be Spyro (a Skylanders Dragon) for Halloween.

Above: Johnny insisted on being a red Power Ranger this year.

Above: Spryo needs his rest.

Above: Don't mind me. I'm just checking out my muscles.

Above: We thought it would be fun to take the boys to a high school football game. We had to leave at half time to put the boys to bed, but they thought it was pretty cool.

Above: Cuddle time with Daddy.

Above: This picture was harder to get than it what the end product would make you think.

Above: I love these three guys of mine.

Above: My sister, Laurie, came into town (from Ohio) and we got to visit with her and meet her new little gal, Caroline. She is such a sweet little baby girl!

Above: Jeremiah was in baby heaven.

Above: My boys were in cousin heaven. Here they are raising their rocking horses. :)

Above: It's funny to see in these pictures how often Peter and Thomas traded places/horses.

Above: Caroline and Grant having some baby bonding time.

Above: We had a Thanksgiving Point day with Thomas and Caroline. We actually got to see a paleontologist working on some dinosaur bones. The boys thought that was pretty cool.

Above: Trapped!

Above: Just designing my dinosaur's skin. Don't mind me.

Above: Going for a stroll...with a purpose. This kid is always on some kind of a mission. Can't you see it in his eyes?

Above: Dino builders!

Above: This giant magnet board is a new addition. It's a lot of fun for the boys to play with.

Above: Peter's favorite spot in the museum is always the erosion table.

Above: Pretty mama and a sweet daughter!

Above: I know this is just a picture of their backs, but I just love this picture. It says so much about each of their personalities.

Above: Sharing a baby protoceratops--the seat of choice.

Above: A lot of excitement with these guys!

Above: I tried to get them all in the same picture. This was the best I could do. :)

Above: Digging for dinosaurs.

Above: The day was young after the dinosaur museum so we went to farm country too.

Above: Peter was the only one brave enough to ride the ponies this time around.

Above: Johnny and Thomas had fun watching though.

Above: They had some fun Halloween-themed additions to Farm Country. The boys had fun digging for skeletons.

Above: Peter had no fears when it came to this graveyard.

Above: Enjoying prison time.

Above: I kept trying to get each of them to look through these three openings and smile at the same time? Wouldn't that have been cute? Peter in the doorway, and Johnny and Thomas smiling out from the windows? It was not to be...

Above: Johnny totally looks like he is singing opera here.

Above: The boys liked the rabbits.

Above: Nothing like a quick game of tag around a witch while waiting for a carriage ride.

Above: Lots to see...every which way you look!

Above: Waving at the people in the parking lots. It was like being in a parade for these guys.

Above: I don't remember what these guys were looking at, but when you see how focused they are, don't you wish you could see it too?

Above: Planting and harvesting our seeds.

Above: Cheerful farmer, eh?

Above: After Farm Country, Dad left work and met us at the deli where we had dinner...and Jeremiah got some baby cuddle time.

Next up...family picture highlights, and then the conclusion of Laurie's visit!
