October, Part 3: Daniel's Second Month

My sweet Daniel turned two months old this month. He began smiling pretty much on the day before he hit his one month mark, but it took awhile before I was able to capture his sweet smiles on camera. Daniel also had his two month appointment and had to get some shots, which is always sad. He is such a sweet little guy and we are so grateful to have him in our family.

Above: At this stage, this guy sleeps a lot. I'm sure it won't last for too much longer, but he sure is sweet when he is napping.

Above: He still smiles in his sleep. What a sweet guy.

Above: Would you just look at that sweet belly?!

Above: I love this sweet guy and his kicky legs.

Above: He is always soooooo sleepy.

Above: Look at those tired eyes and that sweet tiny body!

Above: This tired guy needs to be snuggled.

Above: Every now and then, he is awake and mommy is always on the hunt to capture his sweet baby smiles.

Above: I don't think he wanted to have his picture taken when he was only wearing a diaper, but I couldn't resist. That baby body is just so dang cute!

Above: Ha ha! I love this expression.

Above: This guy is questioning me to find out why I would watch such a stupid movie (Nine Months...wow, it is so bad). I guess I'm looking for a lot of time killers while you sleep on me and I feed you bottles every two hours, Daniel!

Above: Bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning with dried milk all over his face because mommy fell asleep while bottle feeding him in the middle of the night.

Above: Oh, how I wish this picture wasn't blurry. Those first smiles are so hard to capture. He kept wiggling and I was using my phone camera so that the picture would be without a flash (and because he would stop smiling if I pulled out my Canon Rebel).

Above: Ooooh! Look at that dimple!

Above: I love those eyebrows and that wrinkly little forehead.

Above: What a sweetheart.

Above: He loves to rub the silky side of his blanket against his face when he is going to sleep.

Above: He did not want to wear his skeleton pajamas! Actually, I think this reaction was because he had a poopy bum.

Above: All changed with a brand new diaper and a clean bum.

Above: Ahhhh, maybe he likes being a skeleton after all!

Above: Maybe...

Above: Oh no! He doesn't want to be a skeleton!

Above: Or maybe he just needed to be held and snuggled. What a sweetie.

Above: Wearing a super cute outfit given to me by the Relief Society presidency.

Above: Oh! Just look at that little monster bum!

Above: Just hanging out at Mimi and Papa's house before visiting Temple Square for the first time.

Above: Finally! Daniel let mommy capture his sweet baby smiles! The lighting was right, he was propped up against the couch just right, he wasn't wiggling, and the pictures didn't turn out blurry! Yay! Mission accomplished.

Above: Words cannot describe how much I love this little boy.

Above: Oh, look at those little legs after getting his shots. He cried, but he recovered quickly. What a sweetheart. Johnny came with me to Daniel's appointment and he was very sweet and understanding.

Above: "Mommy, why do you keep dressing me up in these crazy outfits?"

Above: Daniel was a pumpkin (Jack-o'-Lantern) and I was a pumpkin patch (since he was either being carried in the Baby Bjorn or I was holding him the whole time). Cutest pumpkin ever! Sleep might have been his only defense mechanism. :) He doesn't like having things put on his head either (I discovered).

Above: Oh, such sweet smiles! We love you so much, Daniel!

  1. Oh, love little babies, but little babies with dimples are extra special. :)
