Above: Peter started Primary in January. It was a very easy transition for him. Our next door neighbors are his Sunbeam teachers. It was quite a tender mercy because it really put Peter at ease, and made him very comfortable. The first day of Primary, I dropped him off, he saw our neighbors, they had a seat ready for him, and it was like, "Mom who?" Jeremiah peeked in later to see how he was doing and he was already volunteering during Sharing Time. Here is a picture of Peter that his teachers took when they had a lesson about animals. Isn't he a handsome guy?
Above: I got to babysit AJ for one day during his preschool spring break. The boys were in heaven. They had so much fun when he came to visit. It was quite a fun-filled day!
Above: For General Conference, we kept with our tradition of pitching our tent towards the prophet's voice (putting up our tent and facing it toward the TV so we could watch conference together). We mixed it up a little and put up our bigger tent, instead of the smaller tent that we usually put up.
Above: We put up the tent the Friday night before conference so that the boys could get out their wiggles and play in it a day before conference actually started. So, we had a movie night in the tent and watched The Fox and the Hound. Daddy went to a concert that night with his brother, Bri, so he missed out on our fun that night. He had fun at his concert though, and the boys and I had a ton of fun in our tent.
Above: Cuddled in our sleeping bags and watching our movie.
Above: We got these Duplo Legos for the boys. It is one of our traditions to watch conference while we do quiet family activities, like building with Legos.
Above: The boys can seriously play with these for hours.
Above: We moved the Legos into the tent for the last session of conference. :) The boys (at this point) only watch two sessions. They nap during the afternoon sessions.
Above: Just hanging out and watching conference.
Above: Jeremiah went out of town on conference Sunday. So, the boys and I had a very quiet week. We had put up the trampoline a few days before Jeremiah left in the hopes that we could play outside. Well, it was a FREEZING week. At the beginning of the week, it looked pretty outside and the boys were just aching to get out and play. However, it was so cold that they had to play outside in their snow suits to keep warm! Brrrrrrr!
Above: Don't they look like big pillows? Oh, I just want to cuddle them!
Above: After playing outside, there is nothing like sitting in a blanket lined box and watching cartoons.
Above: I love these guys and how their minds work.
Above: As is tradition, any time Jeremiah leaves on a business trip, out internet goes down and it snows. It's lots of fun! This was in April! Where is my beautiful spring time?
Above: The boys decided to play doggy with bowls of water to lap up and cereal to crunch on.
Above: We took a little trip to Babies R Us to get Johnny some more diapers. The boys had a great time playing. The trip started out great...but ended in a massive tantrum from Peter (over treats that he wanted to buy that I wouldn't let him have). I love it! It's even better because I always get nasty, judgmental looks from other people. So much fun!
Above: The boys also played at this cool Duplo Lego table. This is seriously cool. I want one...but I don't want to know what it actually costs...because if a little box of those Duplo Legos can be $20-30, I don't even want to know how much that table must cost.
Above: While Daddy was out of town, we went to the Children's Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. I got to run into an old friend from the ward I grew up in (Heather Nielsen Pitts). How serendipitous! I had been trying to contact her for a long time, but the email I had was bad and she wasn't on Facebook. It was so good to see her and catch up a little.
Above: The boys had a great time. It was so nice that it finally warmed up a little. It had been so cold all week, but Friday was finally nice (at least down in the valley).
Above: Doesn't he just have such a cute little body?
Above: My sweet little musician.
Above: This guy is great at balancing.
Above: Johnny was having a hard time balancing while holding his bag of chips (this guy loves to have snacks handy non-stop).
Above: Ahhhhh, this is a sight for sore eyes.
Above: This is one of the boys' favorite parts of the Children's Gardens.
Above: Getting the hang of it...great balancing, even with a bag of chips to hold onto at the same time.
Above: Jonathan loves to follow in Pete's footsteps.
Above: I love these guys.
Above: They originally put all of these cool stickers that Nammy gave them onto pieces of paper...then they took them off and put them onto each other instead.
Above: "You put stickers on my back, and I'll put stickers on yours."
Above: At the Washburn Sunday dinner in April it was quite chilly outside. That didn't stop the kids from going outside to play though. Cousin Ty is really sweet and patient. He played catch with Johnny for awhile and he was very patient with Johnny. They had a good time.
Above: These cousins just love to jump on the trampoline, and there is nothing better than being bounced by Uncle Jeremiah.
Above: Ready for adventure!
Above: They really had the best time. They didn't even notice the cold.
Above: Before...
Above: After!
Above: Mimi and Papa got this life size hamster ball from Costco for the kids to roll around in. They thought it was so cool!
Above: For Nammy's birthday, we went to Training Table and had dinner together.
Above: I got some very sweet smiles from baby Grant while we were celebrating Nammy's birthday. Sweet smiles for Aunt Sarah!
Whew! Lot's of pictures for April...I will have to finish up the month of April with another post!
