Above: We like it when Mom gets out our folding table so that we can do crafts or build blocks on it.
Above: The top layer of snow froze and you could pull it up in sheets. So Peter and I took some inspiration from Andy Goldsworthy and made our own little snow sculptures against our fence.
Above: Voila!
Above: Johnny sure loves his Mimi. Here they are getting some quality time together during a Sunday dinner at Aunt Angie's house.
Above: One of the few pictures of Jeremiah and I together. It doesn't happen very often anymore! I should try and set the timer on my camera and take a picture of the two of us every now and then...as a record of the passage of time (or the ravages of time depending on how well we age!).
Above: Here are the boys enjoying their candy on Valentine's Day. Nothing beats a Ring Pop for breakfast!
Above: Nammy gave us these swords and the pirate ship for Valentine's Day.
Above: Grandpa Mackay gave Peter some cash for his birthday, and we completely forgot about it until one night we all needed an outing and we decided to go to Toys R Us so that Peter could buy something with his birthday money. He chose this cool Power Rangers Megazord. Johnny was just happy to be along for the ride!
Above: I sure love these guys! Here they are on the morning of Johnny's 2nd birthday.
Above: Johnny got this cool turtle.
Above: Johnny also got lots and lots of Pixar Cars stuff.
Above: Johnny picked out this Iron Man toy when we were at the store picking out Peter's Megazord. We just hid it away, so he didn't know that we had actually gotten it.
Above: This toy walks and everything!
Above: Peter was being a very helpful big brother by assisting Johnny with unwrapping his presents. We also went to the dinosaur museum for Jonathan's birthday the night before. Mom went grocery shopping instead. She needed a mom break after Peter dumped about a cup of vegetable oil all over the kitchen...and then walked on the couch with the oil all over his flip flops. So, we don't have any pictures of that trip to the museum as a result.
Above: Johnny sure loves to read books!
Above: Johnny loves to draw, so we got him this easel from IKEA. Both boys love to draw on it together.
Above: Nammy came to visit and spoiled me with even more Pixar Cars stuff! I LOVE cars!
Above: Nammy is the best.
Above: What a line up!
Above: I sure love these three guys.
Above: What a handsome birthday boy!
Above: Then, of course, Peter likes to run around all over the place, never standing still so that I can't get a picture of him. He seems a little too spry with that much weight on him.
Above: Tweedle-Dee.
Above: We put a TV in Peter's room for him to watch during nap/quiet time. Peter rarely takes naps anymore, but he still needs some down time in the afternoon (he needs time to settle down, and I need time to work). The 'on' button broke, so it only turns on with the help of a remote control. Plus, it isn't hooked up to any cable, so Peter literally can't watch it unless I put it on for him. It has been really nice for nap time...for both of our sakes! Before, he was getting so bored that he was getting mischievous. Thank goodness I won't have to work forever...As for Johnny, he got that nasty scratch on his face during one of our grocery shopping trips. Peter and Johnny started fighting, and Peter clawed at him and took out a good chunk of skin. It was one of those really fun moments as a mom. You know? :) Luckily, it has healed and the scratch is slowly fading. It won't be a permanent scar. Would you guess these two guys were even capable of that when you see them sitting here so sweetly next to each other? They really are the best of friends...or the worst of enemies. It just depends on the time of day!
Those pictures of the boys with their jammies stuffed are hilarious! pete is such a funny kid. Where does he come up with this stuff?
