February, Part 6: Final February Adventures

February was a crazy month. We were preparing our house because we were planning to put it up for sale in the spring. We also got a surprise in that Jeremiah's current job decided to kind of trade him to one of their partner companies. That gave us a stressful week where we didn't really know what was going to happen and how things were going to turn out, but it all worked out in the end.

Above: In preparation for the move, we put blinds up on the window in our landing and moved our old couches up there. It was one of those things that once we did it, we wished we had done it years ago. It was so cozy up there and made such a great family gathering area. The boys loved it. We only had it up for about three months before we moved, but we made some good memories there while it lasted.

Above: We had some good movie nights on the landing and some good video game playing time as well.

Above: Jeremiah was being silly...little did he know that Dan was pulling the exact same expression that he was!

Above: We had a nice warm night in February, so we decided to get some fast food for the boys and head to the park. While we were there, the company that Jeremiah was being "traded" to called him on the phone to discuss an offer. Up until this time, we had absolutely no idea what to expect. We didn't know if Jeremiah would become a consultant or what. Fortunately, his new employer offered him a full-time salaried position. It was a huge relief. Until that night, we didn't know if we would be able to move forward with selling our house, or what would happen. We had about a week where we had no idea what our fate would be. One day, as I was going about my work and pondering the situation, it came to my mind that Jeremiah had been blessed when he was set apart as a member of the bishopric that we would be taken care of financially. In that moment, I realized that I was not exercising faith in the blessing that Jeremiah had received. I said a prayer asking Heavenly Father to forgive me for doubting, but also to comfort me as I waited to find out how everything would turn out. I'm grateful for that gentle reassurance as well as the knowledge that Heavenly Father keeps His promises to His children.

Above: It was a little chilly, but isn't he just the sweetest with his head popping out over his blankie?

Above: The boys were on a curly fry kick and they were heartily enjoying their Arby's kid's meals.

Above: I love these boys of mine so much. I am grateful and humbled to have them in my charge.

Above: I believe Johnny is pretending to be a puppy, if I remember correctly.

Above: Look at those sweet cheeks on my squishy Dan.

Above: Thus begins Johnny's period of rearranging my holiday decorations and home decor. I had these vases staggered, but Johnny decided it would be better to have them lined up in a stair step pattern and he sealed the deal with a clothing sticker to make it harder for me to change up his arrangement. :)

I had spent the month of February cleaning, organizing, getting rid of stuff on our online rummage sale, putting stuff into a storage unit, etc. in order to make our house more streamlined, organized, and uncluttered for the purpose of selling it. It sure was a ton of work. What an exhausting process selling a house is! I don't know why anyone would do it unless they absolutely had to! You sure accumulate a lot over the years too! We had only been here for four years, but we sure had a lot more stuff than when we first came here. Well, on to March's adventures!
