My sister, Emily, who is also one of the biggest Star Wars fans ever threw this super awesome Star Wars party for all the cousins while Shandie and her girls were in town. Yeah, she definitely earned the title of "Coolest Aunt Ever" with this party.
Above: Emily bought a baseball (I think?) pinata and painted it to look like the Death Star. The kids loved the pinata...as you will see.
Above: First up, Maddie. (Oh, and yes, that's right, Emily bought each of the kids their own Star Wars costume to wear! How cool is she?)
Above: Kinlie's turn.
Above: Now Thomas' turn.
Above: Now it's Grant's turn.
Above: Katelynn's R2D2 dress was so cute.
Above: Cousins having a blast.
Above: Caroline has a sweet concentrating face.
Above: Good job, Caroline!
Above: These boys were great at cheering others on.
Above: Good form, Pete!
Above: Eventually, it was Aunt Emily who broke the pinata and shook out all the goodies for the kids to gather.
Above: Caroline makes for a very cute little Ewok.
Above: Doesn't Hannah look cute with Princess Leia hair?
Above: Emily even provided Star Wars themed food. Han-burger Sliders.
Above: Pretzel Lightsabers.
Above: Jabba Juice.
Above: Sarlacc Pit Cake.
Above: Watto-Melon Chance Cubes.
Above: In addition to the pinata, the Jedi younglings had to complete a few other obstacle courses. Here is Grant aka Luke passing the black hole test.
Above: Then there was the lava pit test.
Above: I guess Pete didn't pass...nooooooo!
Above: Maddie passed with grace and ease.
Above: They even got certificates for completing their Jedi training.
Above: Emily created space cruisers for each kid to sit in to watch a Star Wars movie in.
Above: Emily's friends helped her with this party as well. Didn't Emily and her friends do such a great job?!
Above: The kids were quite enthralled with the movie and actually watched quite a bit of it.
Above: They even had their own snack bar.
Above: We had our family Sunday dinner two days later and the kids got to appreciate all of the Star Wars fun all over again.
Above: Johnny (who wouldn't participate the first time around) thoroughly enjoyed himself the second time.
Above: Emily even had a photo booth to take pictures of the kids. It had a green sheet so she was able to photoshop in some Star Wars themed backgrounds.
Above: When we got back together for our Sunday night dinner, the kids got to get in their space cruisers again for the premier of their very own movie!
Above: They LOVED it!
Above: Who wouldn't love this short movie? My sister filmed it and edited it. The kids asked to watch it over and over and over again. It was a hit. Box office gold, for sure.
Here is the link to watch Emily's Star Wars video (since I'm not sure how to embed it into this post since it isn't from YouTube). Enjoy!

That was a really fun party. We've got to do something like that next year.
