July, Part 6: Mackay Family Dinners

We had a pre-4th of July dinner and mini celebration at Nammy's house on Sunday, the 3rd. Jeremiah even brought fireworks to do with the boys (since we can't have fireworks in our neighborhood in Lehi).

Above: Johnny still isn't a big fan of fireworks.

Above: Then again, Peter isn't a big fan of fireworks either. The boys decided to move up to the deck to create more distance between themselves and the fireworks.

Above: What silly sweet boys I have.

Above: After a few renegade fireworks (as well as some super noisy ones), the kids opted to watch the remainder of the fireworks show from the safety of Nammy's car. Bonus that it muted the noise of the fireworks for the kids too.

Above: On the last Sunday of the month, we celebrated some summer birthdays--Dan's being one of them. Dan wasn't quite sure what to think about being sung to. It actually concerned him quite a bit.

Above: But, of course, Dan snaps back quickly and as soon as the singing was finished and the candle was blown out, Dan was happy to eat some cupcake.

Above: Summer is a pretty awesome time of year. I mean, you can't beat sitting out on the grass and blowing bubbles. Also, you can't beat summer dinners at Mom's house. She's an amazing cook!
