September, Part 2: Peter's First Day of School

Above: Peter's first day of preschool finally came the Wednesday after Labor Day. Peter was excited, but had a sense of quiet anticipation as we were getting ready. I let Peter choose his outfit. He opted to wear his hamburger shirt (he also wore it to Disneyland when we went in May). He loves his hamburger shirt.

Above: "Cheese."

Above: Once we got to his class, I think the reality of it started to sink in a little more. He was really happy and excited.

Above: Another pose.

Above: Meeting his new classmates. Peter barely even noticed when Johnny and I left. Johnny, on the other hand, was really sad that we were leaving his brother.

Above: Once we got home though, Johnny got to experience something new...some alone time with his mommy. Nice! That really hasn't ever happened before. I did a little laundry and Johnny "hid" in the closet and pretended to be asleep.

Above: He was in Johnny heaven.

Above: When we went back to get Peter, he was at home playing with his new classmates.

Above: The next time Peter went to school, he was a seasoned preschooler.

  1. Pete looks so cute all dressed up for school in his California casual attire :)

  2. I think he was really ready for this socialization. And he's such a smart boy, it's good for him to be challenged.
