December, Part 6: Christmas Eve!

Above: The boys got to wake up to some new stuffed animals on Christmas Eve. Here is Pete with his new dragon.

Above: Here is Johnny snuggling his new little Great Dane puppy.

Above: Grandpa Mackay had a Christmas Eve breakfast at his house for the family.

Above: They also did their traditional dice game which was...interesting with the kids. We ended up letting the kids pick a toy each time they rolled the dice (rather than waiting until they rolled a 7, 11, or doubles) because some kids were luckier than others and got three toys while the majority of the kids had nothing. The atmosphere was getting tense, so the rules had to be altered slightly!

Above: Seriously, this was the most tense dice game I have ever played. When kids are involved, tension is high!

Above: Since we weren't coming back on Christmas day, we got to give Grandpa Mackay and Nana their Christmas presents and the boys got theirs as well.

Above: I love Emily hiding in this picture. See her curled up on the couch behind us? :)

Above: After a busy, crazy, exciting, event-filled morning at Grandpa Mackay's house, we went over to Nammy's house to decorate some cookies for Santa.

Above: Peter decorated the blue cookie and the bloody gingerbread man and Johnny decorated the pink gingerbread man (and ate his other cookie right away).

Above: They also got to make some gingerbread sleighs. Here is Peter's sleigh.

Above: Here is Johnny's sleigh.

Above: Waiting to open up their Christmas PJs.

Above: Modeling said PJs.

Above: The boys got robes this year in addition to their pajamas.

Above: The Christmas set-up.

Above: Peter's Christmas stuff is on the left chair and Johnny's is on the right.

Above: Johnny's car truck.

Above: Santa's plate of cookies. He already drank the milk and the reindeer ate the carrot sticks.
